Kathryn Van Eeuwen and Neil Goltermann discuss some of the practical issues with regard to getting notarized signatures and witness signatures on both real estate and estate planning documents in today’s COVID-19 World. This will include ‘wet ink’ signings and complying with Governor J.B. Pritzker’s March 26, 2020, Executive Order No. 14 allowing a notary to perform remote notarizations and remote witnessing using two-way audio-video communication technology.
